About Joe Sandler

Joe Sandler is a second-generation glass artist from Western Massachusetts. Growing up in his father’s studio, he was introduced to the craft of stained glass at an early age, as well as french embossing and sandblasting. In 2007, at just 15 years old, Joe attended the Snow Farm Craft Program, where he spent the summer immersed in the glassblowing studio.

While attending, he was introduced to the renowned artist Joe Peters, who would later become his mentor. That same year, Joe began his formal apprenticeship with Joe Peters Glass. This mentorship continued for six years, alongside Joe's studies at Snow Farm Crafts Program, Penland School of Crafts, and training under several other leading artists in the field.

From 2013-2017, Joe worked as assistant to Joe Peters, and from 2014-2022, an assistant to Peter Muller. During this time, he developed his own artistic voice, building a body of work that has been sold internationally to galleries, shops, and private collectors.

Today, Joe is known for the meticulous attention to design and detail that he brings to his glass jewelry. He creates each piece of handblown glass with the hope that it will not only reflect the highest level of craftsmanship, but will also become a cherished heirloom, passed down and loved for generations.
